New carpet design resembling traditional Filipino embroidered design

The embroidery culture in the Philippines was established around the turn of the century in the town of Taal and Batangas. It has been considered a refined art in society because of its detailed, well-embossed appearance. Embroidery is regarded as a very impressive Philippine art form. On top of that, it is now linked to numerous other locally produced goods that are sold to every country in the world.

The Philippines is home to many talented communities of embroiderers. For example, there are the Itneg embroiderers from Abra. The Lumban from Laguna are artists who specialize in creating the traditional barong Tagalog. In Mindanao, the Mandalas from Davao and the T’bolis from Lake Sebu. The passion of our artists and the Filipino businesses who bring to the fore the centuries-old techniques to preserve and nurture the art of needlework are as rich in materials and inspiration as the archipelago itself.

Piña and other conventional fabrics are utilized as the materials for embroidered design. The Piña embroidery is made from the most excellent mature leaves of the red Spanish species of pineapple and is a lovely, soft, flexible, off-white fabric. The most expensive material for Barong Tagalog during the Spanish era was piña, which was used for extremely rare and exceptional events. Besides clothing, the Philippines uses this art form in everything. From accessories to bags and furniture.

Inspired by Filipino Embroidery, particularly Piña and linen, we created an embroidered design. We use three colors on our carpet: white, grey, and beige. The white color for the embroidery itself. Grey and beige symbolize the cloth. The style employs geometrical and organic shapes, even emphasizing our carpet’s embroidered design. The design is perfect for personal rooms and offices.

Graphic carpet inspired by Travelfund by Siriusdan furniture

In 2016, Cyrus Dan Cañares launched Travelfund by Siriusdan, a modern company that sells home furnishings suitable for those with unconventional and artistic tastes. The founder spent most of his early 20s as a photographer for numerous cruise ships, allowing him to travel to places like Alaska, Antarctica, Samoa, Fiji, and all points in between. He was pursuing a childhood ambition of becoming a soap opera writer by leaving this position. His desire to travel, though, persisted. Unfortunately, like many young Filipino workers, his wage was insufficient to satisfy his wanderlust. He started Travelfund by Siriusdan as a result.

Cañares enjoys fusing his passions with his work in particular. He admits to being a film enthusiast and lists two of his favorite creations as accent chairs influenced by Pedro Almodóvar’s filmography. He is greatly influenced by Wong Kar Wai, Pedro Almodóvar, and Ingmar Bergman. Due to his fascination with Almodóvar, they were his first artistic inspirations, and he created two accent chairs in response to their cinematography. He overused crimson and paired it with classic materials that were really eye-catching. Pedro Chairs was the name he gave it after adding hand-painted finishing touches.

Individualism is one quality that Cañares cherishes highly. In his opinion, this sets his work apart from that of other artists. In the sense of wanting to be unique and different, he has always been an individualist. He thinks that this quality of mine has permeated his creative output. He even said he wanted to create each piece as one-of-a-kind as possible by fusing many cultures, art forms, and disciplines.

Inspired by the graphic furniture of Travelfund by Siriusdan, we created a graphic carpet pattern on our carpet. We utilized the colors black, blue, pink, yellow, and other colors that suit the pattern. This showcase the colorful vibes of our carpet. Aside from this, we also employ different regular and irregular geometrical figures that give creativity to the design. This carpet is best for various kinds of rooms.

Our organic carpet pattern inspired by ḢA.MÜ for Vogue Philippines

We create this organic pattern design in honor of the inaugural issue of the newest branch of Vogue. The cover was published in September 2022 and centered on modern interpretations of the terno (traditional Filipino dress). The magazine covers the newest generation of Philippine-based designers revolutionizing the fashion industry. It also highlights accessories that are influenced by Filipino heritage and craftsmanship.

Vogue Philippines, debuts four different versions of its cover. Model Chloe Magno, a Filipino-American, is featured on the publication’s debut cover story, which was styled by an accessories designer and native of Manila, Bea Valdes. Styled in designs by ḢA.MÜ Magno is ready to discover the iconic scenery of the country. Where are some places shot by photographer Sharif Hamza? Bucas Grande’s turquoise lagoons, the Tinipak River’s marble boulders, and Biri Island’s karst formations. Valdes hopes to promote the Philippine fashion identity by establishing connections with the international world through the content of Vogue Philippines and its channels.

Inspired by the dress used on the cover of Vogue Philippines, we created an organic pattern on this carpet. Our carpet uses an organic flow. Similar to how the garments drape. We used the color peach to symbolize vitality and energy that sets the tone and mood of the carpet. The style employs an ornamental design presenting vivid support to floral plants. More than that, it even shows softness yet defined details. The design is perfect for any corridor or public space.

This Unique custom pattern inspired by Manila’s Universelle Buly store

The Officine Universelle Buly boutique is located on the Ground Level of Greenbelt 3 in Makati. The Saint-Honoré, Paris-based company, was founded in 1803 by French perfumer Jean-Vincent Bully. They are famous for their collection of grooming goods and accessories. The Versailles parquet in exotic woods and celadon green design contrasts with old woodwork to maintain the legacy brand’s French essence. Its lines of perfumery and beauty products are carefully organized like artifacts and exhibits at a museum, enclosed in glass display cases.

There are no two Buly stores that have the same design. They adapt to the country’s cultural aesthetic rather than using market adaptation as a strategy. For example, a boutique in London has a Victorian-era interior. But in Kyoto it is designed like a traditional Japanese costume shop. Buly, a company with over 800 goods, modernizes commonplace items by incorporating their natural elements and smells and adapting to the times. For instance, matches are laced with a potent scent and are frequently used to remove unpleasant odors from tiny places.

Although these products typically appeal to women, it’s fascinating to note that half of their overall buyers are guys. Perhaps this is because of their immersive boutiques, which, in Touhami’s opinion, always provide something fresh to discover. Touhami asserts that their clients seek to be astonished each time they enter a store and learn something new. They are even attempting to spread a new generation of beauty rituals, beauty tips from around the globe, and what we enjoy in our beauty, perfume, and accessory-focused boutiques.

Inspired by Buly Store in Greenbelt, we created a unique custom pattern. Our carpet uses the unique custom pattern of the ceiling. We used two main colors, teal and brown, to symbolize the shade of the store, which brings an aesthetic vibe. The style employs geometrical shapes that give artistry to the carpet. The design is perfect for personal rooms and offices.

This circle carpet pattern represents the pearls of the Philippines

“Pearl of the Orient Sea” is the nickname of the Philippines because of its abundance of Pearls. The country is rich and diverse in aquaculture, and pearls have become their national gem. Pearl farmers, primarily under Jewelmer’s supervision, have turned pearl farming into a science. They go to incredible lengths to accomplish this. They were able to successfully culture stunning rich gold pearl colors after learning from the Japanese, all the while keeping the oceans clean and the oysters secure. The Gold South Sea pearls from the Philippines are some of the most expensive on the market. Therefore it’s a laborious procedure with more than 360 steps, but it’s worth it.

In 2300 BC, Pearls were associated with love and royalty. People believe it is the happy tears of the goddess of love, Aphrodite. As it was the goddess’ sacred jewel, these stones are thought to bring happiness and love. To stay safe throughout the battle during the Dark Ages, knights would carry or wear pearls because they believed that these priceless stones would shield them from damage. Pearl necklaces in simple strands represented the trend for simplified designs in the 1920s. And after some time, pearls were a symbol of delicate elegance, purity, and femininity in the 1950s.

Pearls may vary in color; there are average pearls or milky-colored ones. Aside from this are pink pearls and golden south sea pearls. Inspired by these jewels, we created a circle carpet pattern on our carpet. Circles are the center focus of the carpet to showcase the shape of the pearls. Aside from this, we used the color pink, gold, and white for the luxurious vibes of this gem. This carpet design is alluring for rooms in the house and even in offices.

If you love this circle carpet pattern, do not hesitate to contact us to learn more about our custom carpet program. This program offers budget-friendly options starting at $21/SY. A Weave Pattern design brings together two gems of the Philippines

In the Philippines, Weaving is prominent in artistry; in other regions, it is even used as a source of income. As a result of Filipino’s clever minds, they come up with designing weaving encompassed with floral motifs. They include the national flower, Sampaguita, to show more patriotism.

SAMPAGUITA FLOWER

The Philippines National Flower is Sampaguita or sometimes called Jasminum sambac. Governor-General Frank Murphy was the one who declared this in 1934. Sampaguita is a white blossom representing innocence, loyalty, and optimism. The fragrant blossoms are frequently used in garlands and perfume. Eight of the many Jasminum species that are found in the Philippines are endemic, meaning they cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Sampaguita has the reputation of being offered only to saints in the Philippines. Hence it is uncommon to give it to someone else as a gift or as a token of adoration.

SOLIHIYA WEAVING

Solihiya is one of the most widely used rattan weaves. Its striking design, which consists of a repeated grid of sunburst weaves with a hole in the middle, is impossible to overlook. The unique solihiya design allows air to flow through, which is crucial in our tropical climate. Since its formal and elaborate Spanish-colonial days, this weave has undergone significant development. With the theme of “Heritage Reimagined” for Manila FAME, designers and producers have given the solihiya pattern a modern, contemporary aspect by utilizing new forms, applications, and materials.

The solihiya weave, among other things, is a deserving portrayal of our rich and vibrant cultural tapestry that extends beyond the home and architecture. The allure of local things can no longer be avoided or even scorned because there is a rich treasury to delve into. It is no longer just a seat or a display object. Now we may proudly take our history and tradition as far as we can.

Inspired by Sampaguita Solihiya Weave, we created a weave pattern with a floral design. We used three main colors such as beige, white and green color. Beige to emphasize the weave color. White and green for leaves and flower petals. This is shown to exhibit Philippine weaving with flowers emerging inside the pattern. The design is perfect for open spaces like lobbies, sitting areas, etc.
