In this month’s vlog, we take you out of the country and onto a Stockholm design tour. Contrary to last month’s Countryside of Sweden vlog, we visit city hotels, the Swedish capital’s museums, and cool shops.
We take you on a tour of some of Stockholms’ newest or trendiest hotels. First on the list is Blique by Nobis. Being the newest member of the Nobis hospitality group, we expected nothing less than amazing, and we are definitely pleased. Next up we are visiting Ett Hem, which is one of Stockholm’s most desired and luxurious places to stay. From there, we take a short car ride to Stockholms Brunkebergstorg Square where we visit 3 distinctly themed hotels. Hotel at Six, is housed in a former bank’s headquarters and is now one of the city’s trendiest hotels. On the same Brutalist square we find Downtown Camper which, is a nature-themed hotel. And right across the street, the Hobo hotel is a young and fun boutique hotel.
On our Stockholm design tour, we’re also visiting some of Stockholm’s contemporary museums. First up is Fotografiska, where we visit the largest retrospective ever on Miles Aldridge. Second is Arkdes which is a Swedish museum solely dedicated to architecture and design. The third is Fiberspace, a textile art gallery that features artworks from textile artists all over the world. Lastly, the final museum we visit is Artipelag, where we get to see Signature Women; a collection that features 100 years of Swedish Art by 50 female Swedish artists.
Before we left Stockholm, we had to get a taste of Scandinavian fashion. So we popped into two trendy stores with cool interior design. We first went to Nitty Gritty, a multi-brand store/showroom and lastly, we went to Ganni, a Danish brand.
We hope you enjoy seeing Stockholm through our eyes.
