Palette with paisley carpet as a tribute to Milan based Etro

When thinking of Bohemian luxury and paisley carpet, our minds go instantly to Etro. Founded in 1968, the brand is a family-managed Italian fashion house popular for its paisley patterns. The Milan-based label got its start as a textile company providing materials to other fashion houses. It was only in 1981 when Gerolamo Etro introduced the first paisley pattern. Since then, it has been a staple in the brand’s aesthetic. Today, Etro is known for its bohemian sensibility, rich color combinations, and iconic paisleys. The brand stays in the family and is now headed by Veronica Etro, the daughter of founder Gimmo Etro.

With such creativity and beauty in their collections, we chose paisley prints to inspire our mood board. As the backdrop, we use Bohemia RECOLORED by ege. This paisley carpet matches many of the prints of the Etro collections. Keeping everything synonymous, we used other materials from the same color palette. We used a cognac brown textile called Sateen Weave and paired that with another textile called Riann. Adding a touch of Italian luxury, we add a leather from Jerry Pair Leather called Cow Tao’. Paloma by Design and Direct Source and Linen-Like by DesignTex are materials placed right next to each other to help bring contrast to the palette. To finish the board, we use Reclaimed Teak, a wood panel by IndoTeak Design. Marooned and Barcelona Beige is tops it off by tying all the materials together.
