Check out our brand new multicolor carpet design. Mikaela Minor’s art piece called “Flow” inspired this carpet. This Chicago-based creative is self-taught and started her interest in art at an early age. She grew up in Los Angeles and frequently accompanied her parents to art shows and help them to hang paintings. Her company Mikaela & Co started with a mission to use art to help the less fortunate. Every piece she sells goes towards an organization called Teen Cancer America, supporting the lives of teens affected by Cancer.
Her artwork titled “Flow” serves as her inspiration for our carpet collaboration with a linear multicolor carpet design as end result. The abstract painting is full of sizeable horizontal brush strokes in various shades that mimic a reflection against the sea. She incorporates linear strokes into the carpet design. There are large rectangles of different sizes to make up one harmonious design. It adds a modern touch to a typical carpet design. With the right color combination, we can totally envision this design as a workplace or corridor carpet.
