Our travels in Armenia exposed us to the beautiful architecture of the country. The unique tuff stone constructions in Yerevan and Gyumri inspired us to create a unique stone carpet recolor. While exploring Armenia, we saw a wide variety of tuff stone colors and unique patterns. Some constructions had such a wide variety of colors of the stone that they looked pixelated.
The Armenian tuff is the most used material in the country for the construction of many buildings. It comes from burning ash and pumice, which occurs when a volcano erupts. The lightweight and breathable stone is easy to handle and keeps building at a comfortable temperature throughout the year. Armenia’s biggest cities in the country are named after the stone most used in their constructions. For example, Yerevan is known as the Pink Tuff City, and Gyumri is the Black Tuff City. Additionally, Armenian Tuff comes in a variety of colors, such as yellow, pink, red, black, and many patterns.
The unique yet peaceful color combinations that the tuff brings to Armenian construction inspired us to create something special for our brand new Trends & Colors collection. This collection consists of new designs that our team adds every week, in line with current trends in interior design. It is the perfect flooring option for your commercial interiors project. Additionally, this minimal stone carpet is a great option for a project that needs a unique carpet that remains subdued and does not take away the attention from the other design elements.
