When in France, we visited Marseille and stayed at such a beautifully decorated hotel and restaurant. The inspiring hospitality spot, called Mama Shelter, included boho-inspired décor filled with mesmerizing greenery, bold colors, and unique patterns. Mama Shelter is designed by Starck and in his truly unique fashion delivers as a quirky and unique place where you can stay, dine, and network. The hotel created by the Trigano family is located in nine countries around the world. When walking around the Mama Shelter Marseille, we fell in love with the cactus patio, which featured beautiful cacti in terracotta pots and vibrant coral wood. Inspired by the patio, we recolored the Bamboo Blinds carpet. The low pile carpet in this new color is reminiscent of the uniquely colored wood in the patio.
For this material board, we continued the bohemian theme by choosing patterns that beautifully complement the low pile carpet. Giverny by Pollack and Finsbury by Designtex add some color and dimension with the use of geometric patterns. We also included tiles like Elements Mod Hex and CH220, which add colors reminiscent of the greenery and some unique patterns. Additionally, we included textiles like Grande by Koroseal Interior Products and Nightingale by Anzea to add some muted colors to the board. We also included pastel colors like Supreme Green, Daylily, and New Born’s Eyes. Lastly, we included Hot Spice, which is very similar to the coral shade of the wood in the patio.
