Usually, this is a very important question since it impacts the amount of carpet you will need. A large pattern repeat usually entails a high amount of waste materials and as such a higher material cost.
Thanks to our production method this is no longer a relevant question to determine the required carpet quantity. We are capable of working with large pattern repeats and provide you with roll cuts that already pattern match in the width. How do we do this?
We will ask you for the CAD floorplan. Based on that we create a design layout that shows exactly where the pattern goes and how the transitions will look.
Once we receive your approval on this design layout, ensuring we covered all correct areas, we will proceed with creating a roll layout or also called a seaming diagram. On this layout, we will clearly mark the roll lengths which will be supplied so that you can perfectly execute the pattern matching without the need for extra (wasted) materials. In order to account for the majority of site variations between the CAD file and the physical space, we add 10% extra to each room dimension.
This is our preferred way of working, however if you prefer to just account for pattern matching and order additional materials then we will gladly provide you with the pattern repeat dimensions.
