On our recent trips, we discovered many small and charming cafés. We enjoyed our daily caffeine dose and the intricate interiors in the cute coffee shops away from the crowded tourist landmarks. If you wish to grab coffee shop design ideas and inspirations, you are in the right place. We made a carefully curated collection of the best coffee shops we have visited on our voyages in the past twelve months. They amazed us with the unique aesthetics, so don’t miss the abundance of design inspiration we prepared only for you!
Buddy Buddy. BRUSSELS, Belgium
If you wander away from Brussel’s busy shopping avenue, you will discover a charming café with a stunning two-tone interior. The clear line visually separates the business into a café and a nut butter shop while creating a remarkable visual statement. The rustic orange tone guides you to the aesthetic bar while wishing you a warm welcome. The exposed ceiling piping subtly brings an industrial vibe, while the minimalist furniture doesn’t overpower the space. Don’t mind grabbing your inspiration here.
Cantine. BRUSSELS, Belgium
Cantine welcomes you with an airy and sleek design, enhanced with light industrial vibes. We can define this coffee shop design as the perfect mix between minimalism and industrial style. The simple interior isn’t overwhelmed with details, so it offers a serene coworking area. The all-white space features a concrete floor and polycarbonate plates, with metal accents moderately dispersed through the space. You can explore the whole gallery here.
Afrolab Roastery. YEREVAN, Armenia
We discovered a unique coffee shop design that features the perfect balance between contemporary and warm on our journey in Armenia. The abundance of natural textures brings cozy vibes, while the sleek design and clean lines contribute to a soothing atmosphere. The mix of unfinished wood elements and woven pendant lights brings a striking visual statement. In addition, the wooden panels on the ceiling add a dose of dimension and playfulness. If you wish to explore the contemporary interior to the fullest detail, don’t miss the Afrolab Roastery post.
Sweet Coast. YEREVAN, Armenia
Sweet Coast is a charming place that amazed us with the stunning coffee shop design, featuring a balanced mix of various styles. As you enter the old Soviet building, the same style is present with the unfinished concrete walls. However, the rest of the interior tells a different story.
The limestone bar and archways create a striking visual statement inspired by a landmark called The Yerevan Cascade. The warm wooden tones prevail through the space in the form of contemporary furnishings. A giant bee sculpture crafted from wood completes the industrial-style ceiling while bringing authentic vibes. Wooden sculptures are a traditional part of Armenian craftsmanship, bringing original detailing to the space. You can sit down, have a good coffee, and soak up the carefully chosen architectural details of Sweet Coast.
Our Local @ KLOOF 117. Cape TOWN, South Africa
Our Local is a unique discovery on our trip to Cape Town in South Africa. Once we stepped in, the urban jungle wished us a warm welcome with its lush greenery. This fantastic cafe takes biophilic interior design to another level while playing with different styles to achieve a unique combination.
We noticed an outstanding variety of raw materials, dense greenery, and antique furniture. Although this might sound like clashing styles, in reality, the elements are balanced to perfection. The wooden tabletops add a natural texture, while the green chairs blend into the fresh greenery. As you wander through the urban jungle, you will be amazed by carefully picked antique furniture that brings unique charm to the space. Whether you wish to grab Instagram-worthy pics or steal some inspiration, every single corner of Our Local has something to offer for you.
