Yerevan is the beautiful capital of Armenia. The country has beautifully designed buildings from the Soviet era. Mark Grigorian designed a variety of government buildings, hotels, and museums in Yerevan. The architect was born in Southern Russian in 1900 and graduated from Yerevan State University in 1928. Later, he became the architect of the capital in 1939, leading to stunningly designed buildings all over the city in the distinct Soviet style.
When visiting the National Geology Museum in Yerevan, we noticed unique reliefs on the ceilings. The circles and terracotta color of the ceilings inspired us to design this unique custom carpet pattern. Overall, the circle pattern adds dimension to the carpet making it a statement to any interior space. The green background harmonizes with the warm orange shades of the circles and makes them stand out. Additionally, this carpet pays homage to a very traditional time while having a modern touch to it.
