Sometimes, winter makes us want to escape the cold and take a trip to a warm tropical island. Walking on the beach and finding unique seashells are some of our favorite island activities. Sometimes you find exciting shells. Such as the blue and cream striped zebra shell, which inspired our carpet recolor. Zebra shells are small freshwater mussels found in many places where there is a body of water. They get their name from a striped pattern commonly seen on their outer body.
The material board perfectly translates the shapes of rippled zebra shells that swirl around each other in fun zig-zag lines. The zebra shells’ smooth glossy texture catches our eye and sets the theme for this mood board, with an existing carpet design by ege Carpets.
We are using an existing pattern from ege called Rippled Plaster for this material board. We recolored the pattern matching the zebra shells’ appearance, creating a blue and cream striped carpet. The wavy geometrical lines accent the carpet design so that it looks like a foamy wave hitting the shore. The recolored pattern is set as a unique background for our mood board and paired with other contract products.
With ege Carpets’ Easy Recolor Program, you can easily recolor and visualize existing designs for your hotel, hospitality, office, or multifamily projects. We have various color and scale options for broadloom carpet, carpet tiles, and area rugs. If you like any of our designs, please feel free to contact one of our team members or talk to us through LiveChat.
