Do you need a boost to enhance your creativity? Our trips around the world are a never-ending source of art inspiration. In this post, we summarize the unique art we found on our journeys. We are sure that it will help you get the inspiration you desperately need to create your next masterpiece!

RECYCLED ART @ FOUNDATION VILLA DATRIS, FRANCE

Foundation Villa Datris displayed their fantastic artwork at Isle Sur la Sorgue so that we wouldn’t miss grabbing some art inspiration. The main focus was contemporary sculptures, so we hopped in to check what the expo offers. The concept features artwork made exclusively from recycled materials, used creatively to tell an amusing story. The straw on blue plexiglass is an astonishing installation that caught our attention. We love how the artist used the recycled straws to emit warm radiance.

When strolling among the contemporary sculptures, we noticed this blue installation. The design features a square created from carefully picked objects in blue color. We love the element’s excellent dispersion, which produces an asymmetrical look.

SCULPTURE ESTATE BY BERNAR VENET, FRANCE

Bernar Venet is a world-renowned artist known for his impressive metal sculptures. His work features a minimalist design while highlighting the strength of the metal. The Venet Foundation gathers his authentic artwork, along with masterpieces from other reputable artists. The Sculpture Estate features oversized metal sculptures, both wall-mounted and free-standing. One of the significant art inspirations is the nonchalant way of placing the metal pieces. Venet is known for stacking the pieces deliberately before he lets them fall and find their place.

One of the authentic examples of his original style is the Effondrement. The impressive monumental sculpture follows Venet’s authentic technique, which lets gravity define the sculpture’s shape. Hence, he created different variations following this astonishing concept. The Tube Bridge is one of his masterpieces that provides art inspiration. This innovative bridge connects the banks of the river Nartuby, combining functionality and minimalist aesthetics into one.

ZOO at Mima, Brussels

The ZOO exhibit is an inspiring concept that caught our attention while promising a lot of artistic inspiration. A total of 11 artists gathered to showcase their views on society through art. While the colorful paintings and installations are bold, we couldn’t miss but notice the humor element. The Mima is a unique art museum in Brussels, which hosts two exhibitions per year. They gather authentic artwork that is easy to grasp, spreads a clear message, and is understandable for large audiences. Egle Zvirblyte is an illustrator known for her signature style that includes primary colors and odd shapes. The wacky illustrations include a mix of colors, animalistic features, and unusual shapes.

As we went further to grab some more art inspiration, we encountered the fantastic graphics by Finsta. This Swedish graphic artist has a broad portfolio of various global brands, such as Nike and Playstation. The floors and walls show off his authentic patterns while guiding our way through the museum.

GIANT FLOWERS AND GLASS IGLOO, SPAIN

The Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid, is perfect for getting art inspiration to avoid missing the unique exhibits. The Giant Flowers by Petrit Halilaj is a nature-inspired exhibit that caught our eye. The oversized installation showcases the flower’s beauty to the tiniest detail. The whole place resembles a giant nest, with bird feeders scattered all around the site. The artist inspired his first solo exhibit from the bowerbirds, which ornate their nests with colorful items to attract a mate. We admired the gigantic petals hanging from the ceiling as we walked through the impressive Palacio de Cristal.

His exhibition features the impressive Glass Igloo, inspired by prehistoric times. The organic vibes prevail in the form of natural materials such as wax, coal, and clay.

MABONENG AND DOWNTOWN JOBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

On our trip to South Africa, we decided to take an alternative route and head to the neighborhoods of Maboneng and Downtown Joburg. This area features an abundance of street art for the ones that crave art inspiration. We couldn’t get enough of the colorful murals, as each one conveys a specific message with stunning visuals. Some of them note events, while others express the local life. Despite the inspiring street art, this city offers a rich architectural history.

It is no secret that Paris has been the capital of fashion since the seventeenth century. The city has been the playground for prestigious designers and couture brands like Chanel, Dior, and Saint Laurent. Today the Parisian style is not only an aesthetic choice but a philosophy. It embraces elegance, timelessness, and slow responsible fashion. The focus is on the cut and the quality of the materials. No fluff or excessiveness with a less is more approach. And what better way to understand Parisian fashion than to visit a museum dedicated to it.

For more than 70 years, the house has been crafting magical couture pieces in their atelier at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Christian Dior has made this location a legendary address since the first collection in 1947. Behind its new flagship, the House of Dior inaugurates a permanent exhibition in an extraordinary gallery, independently of its boutique. Mr. Dior wanted to be an architect; the building and the museum pay him a beautiful tribute today.

The staging is astonishing. A circular staircase at the entrance showcases 452 dresses and 1,422 accessories, all 3D printed. Bags, shoes, perfumes, and small objects: so many testimonies of the Dior style materialized to elaborate this Diorama.
