Milan Design Week 2021 hosted the Design In Motion exhibit by Brazil. The event at Portico Richini of Milan University shows a unique perspective of contemporary furnishings. The concepts center around creativity, craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and innovative designs. The Brazilian agency for promoting exports and investments together with Abimóvel is responsible for showcasing Brazil’s talents at this event. The exhibition is curated by the interior designer José Roberto Moreira do Valle; it highlights Brazil’s signature design and regional varieties. The exhibit showcases a stunning combination of indigenous elements, traditional craftsmanship, and modern industry.

As we admired the exhibits, we noticed this carefully curated group. Fitto’s exclusive designs highlight sustainability and efficient material use. The pieces are easy to transport and assemble, eliminating the need for bolts. Designed by Murilo Linhares and Vitor Ramos, this collection aims to fuse design and premium quality. This brand takes minimum waste seriously, therefore, providing eco-friendly furnishing solutions. The elements of each piece fit together perfectly like a puzzle.

The collection by Fitto starts with the Popóta Chair and its minimalist vibes. We witnessed the intelligent design of Rack dos pés a cabeça, the blue rack with a fantastic space-saving design. However, it was the Carambola Armchair that caught our attention. The simple design features an ergonomic shape for the utmost comfort while adding vibrance to the space with the print. The tropical floral pattern is bold and eye-catchy but versatile enough for our team to translate it into a curated material combination. The simple design and lovely colors inspired us to create a soft interior material palette.

Our initial idea is to add tropical vibes and create a soft interior material palette. Therefore, we started with a flower mosaic by Ege carpets. This material provides a solid foundation when we want to play and introduce an eye-catchy print.

Since we love Fitto’s tropical print, adding a similar one will perfectly fit this soft interior material palette. Tropicalia by James Dunlop Textiles is the perfect match for including tropical vibes while keeping the design subtle and refined. Next, we need to add a dose of texture. For that purpose, we continued with Rivington by KnollTextiles. The lovely beige tone calms the busy pattern while fitting in with the initial concept. Verdancy by Valley Forge Fabrics is a perfect fabric to fit the scheme with accent pieces.

Forsythia by Sherwin-Williams is a lovely neon color that lifts the soft interior material palette. Its moderate use will complement the aesthetics, as spotted at Fitto’s exhibition spot. As we continue to build the palette, we introduce Mercury Blast by Riva Floors. This neutral-toned flooring option creates a solid base for the remaining elements without overpowering them.

Coda by MDC Interior Solutions features a stunning visual pattern in a dark color. Back Painted Glass by Element Designs brings elegance with the deep charcoal tone. These dark elements don’t overpower the remaining aspects of this palette. The outcome is a soothing material palette with hints of pink and charcoal and a neon yellow as an accent color.

Our Easy Recolor program allows you to take a carpet-like flower mosaic and create something unique. Our program will enable you to personalize any of our Easy Recolor carpets and get them delivered in 6-8 weeks. Not only can you customize the color of the carpet, but you can also personalize its construction. We have a wide variety of carpet substrates so that we can cater to lower and higher budgets. So feel free to contact us in order to find the perfect carpet for you.
