Spring is finally here, and so it is time for a vibrant floral carpet! Known for its color and street art, we see many beautiful artworks on our walking tour around Lake Atitlan. One of the walls stood out to us because of the beautiful colors and floral details. Using warm spring colors as their color palette, the large flower shapes decorate the shop’s walls. The blue background matches the colors of the sky and is a wonderful backdrop for the blooming flowers. We are in love with how the artist plays around with colors, making the flowers different colors from what they are in real life. The flowers join together with other daisies and petals through green stems. Splashes of warm undertones make the mural playful and fun for visitors.
Similarly, we create a vibrant spring floral carpet that recreates the Guatemalan wall art. The custom carpet’s background is in a soft concrete texture, making the design balance with the edgy backdrop. The flowers look like they are dancing and blowing in the wind in a colorful floral field. We translate the hibiscus and daisies from the mural in a fun way by changing the flowers’ arrangements throughout the wall. Some are painted right side up, and some are painted upside down, making the custom pattern more interesting. We also use different shades of yellow to create a variation across the carpet pattern. Together with the concrete the pattern delivers a modern and fun integration of the pantone colors of the year 2021.
For all of our carpets, we also use organic materials such as ECONYL® regenerated nylon. We reduce consumer waste by using a rolling layout for our carpet patterns, minimizing the amount of material used. Talk Carpet is now also a part of DIFFA’s specify with care program, and 1% of sales revenue will be donated to DIFFA to fight against HIV/AIDS.
