Geometric pattern carpet draws inspiration from Przemek Pyszczek’s art

Christophe is one of our founders and creative director. His passions are interiors, cooking, and traveling the globe for new inspiration.

For this new material palette, we focus on artist and architect Przemek Pyszczek’s paintings. Pyszczek uses bold colors to create his contemporary paintings, using post-communist Eastern European housing blocks as the subject. Born in Poland, he visits the country regularly to get inspiration from the ancient houses built during the war. Using his creativity and graphic design techniques, he translates the images of houses into his murals. His public facades use geometric frames and superimposed patterns in his designs. We’re translating that into a materials palette with a soft geometric pattern carpet.

He mesmerizes us with two paintings in particular, which are the Facade Painting VIII and the Facade Painting IV. Both of the artworks use painted steel and acrylic paint. He creates vibrant geometric shapes superimposed with linework for these facades to add dimension and edge to the piece.

Similarly, for our mood board, we use a similar carpet design that uses beautiful geometric shapes. We recolor our own OCTO carpet design into a vibrant blue and yellow tone. The Octo is part of our Brunklaus Ecotrust Canvas Collage collection. Dutch designer Nicolette Brunklaus creates the design out of woven textile material. Canvas Collage is a collection of five design themes in broadloom, tiles, and planks and can be combined with other ege Carpets designs.

Our mood board includes the geometric pattern carpet Octo RECOLORED by ege carpets, along with other contract materials. Our mood board’s other products include Zellige Unglazed by Riad Tile, which is a natural handmade Moroccan tile. The mood board also has Stature by Maharam, a panel, and upholstery textile. Other materials include White Oak 88000 by Woodwright, Shell white by Sherwin-Williams, Ivory Porcelain: 239 by Benjamin Moore, and Slice by Hygge & West.

With ege Carpets easy to use recolor tool, you can immediately recolor and visualize your design on our website. There is no minimum order on recolored patterns, and the sample turnaround time is usually three business days. We have wall-to-wall carpet designs or carpet tiles available for your office, hospitality, or multifamily interiors projects. If you like any of our designs, please reach out to one of our team members. Don’t hesitate to ask for assistance if you have any questions about recoloring existing patterns.
