At Talk Carpet we are excited to announce that we are now an affiliate of DIFFA’s Specify With Care program. Starting January 2021, we are donating 1% of sales revenue in our custom carpet program to DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS). Our participation helps DIFFA in procuring resources to support HIV/AIDS organizations year-round and respond quickly to their needs. As an ally and friend to the community, we believe it is vital to support causes that impact lives daily.
As design leaders and suppliers of unique carpets, we have a mission to change the mold of what carpets traditionally are. We want to show people that carpet can be a canvas for art through new and innovative carpet designs. Since August of 2020, we team up with freelance designers and artists globally to create unique carpet designs every week. Our custom designs are always out of the box and relevant to current trends. As members of the design community, we pride ourselves on our work, continually pushing the way people think about carpet,
DIFFA is one of the largest supporters of direct care and preventive education for people impacted by HIV/AIDS. Supporters of DIFFA come from all fields of design and the visual arts. They have affiliates in architecture, fashion design, interior design, consumer product design, and photography. Serving a broad range of organizations and communities, including LGBTQ youth, at-risk minority populations, and incarcerated populations. DIFFA believes that prioritizing and helping the most at-risk communities can help educate and minimize new HIV/AIDS cases.
As one of the few organizations that grant unlimited funds to AIDS service agencies in different communities. Every donation given to DIFFA ensures that grant money goes to organizations to make the most impact for those living with HIV/AIDS. Since its founding in 1984, DIFFA has grown from a small community organization into a nationally recognized foundation. With its headquarters in New York City, DIFFA now has chapters all across the US. They spread their message in cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, San Francisco, and the Pacific Northwest. Having partnerships with several home industries and other communities across the US, DIFFA chapters and partners have raised more than $45 million to multiple HIV/AIDS organizations nationwide.
