Design vlog visiting the Swedish countryside

In the fifth episode of our design vlog, we have arrived in Sweden, exploring its beautiful countryside and the unique design of Sweden. We drove countless hours from the South all the way to Lapland in the North, amazed by the endless unspoiled nature. During our Sweden trip, we also visited Stockholm; however, we have so much to cover there that this will be a separate vlog.

In this vlog, we visit the seven architectural treehouses at the Treehotel, with an interior tour of the seventh treehouse designed by Snøhetta. Up next, we’re visiting and spending the night at the Ice Hotel, which was definitely a unique and challenging sleeping experience. The ice sculptured rooms are truly stunning, though. We had the opportunity to attend a northern lights dinner with a reindeer stew cooked over the fire pit during our stay. What an incredible moment to witness such natural marvels.

After leaving the North, we stay at an entirely off the grid cabin designed in 2021 trending japandi style. The design of the Bergaliv Lofthuset is the perfect blend between Scandinavian and Japanese minimalism. And at an easy three-hour drive from Stockholm, easily combined with a city trip.

Driving further down south, we’re visiting two museums that are definitely worth a stop. Vandalorum is housed in a building designed by Renzo Piano, and Wanas Konst is an interactive outdoor sculpture park. We spent the night at the Weinbergs hotel, which recently opened. The food is absolutely incredible; we are convinced this place will become a culinary must-visit in Sweden.
