For this custom carpet pattern, we are taking inspiration from Petrit Halilaj’s installation in Madrid’s Retiro Park. The artist draws inspiration from the courtship ritual of bowerbirds, which make elaborate nests decorated with colorful objects to attract a mate. We in turn transformed his installation into an abstract carpet pattern.
